Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], May 30: A state-of-the-art and air-conditioned shelter that can accommodate 600 animals, built with a donation of Rs. 1 crore received with the support of donors, was inaugurated today at Shri Viramgam Khodadhor Panjrapol Sanstha. The program was graced by the chief guest Guruji Arjunbhai Desai, Shri Sadhim Mandir, Rangpur Dham, Ta. Mansa, and Cabinet Minister of the State Government Shri Kunwarji Bavaliya and the special guest Lokladila MLA of Viramgam Hardikbhai Patel and Managing Trustee of Samast Mahajan, Member of Animal Welfare Board of India Dr. Girish Shah, former MP Somabhai Patel, Assistant of Panjarapol Sanstha, Taluka Panchayat President Shri Janakbhai Patel, Mital Khetani, as well as the trustees of Shri Viramgam Khoda Dhor Panjarapol Sanstha and the team were present. On this occasion, for the first time in Ahmedabad, an animal ambulance equipped with various modern facilities was also welcomed. Its helpline number is 91529 90399.
Managing Trustee of Samast Mahajan Dr. Girish Shah said on this occasion that at Viramgam Panjrapol, Shri Viramgam Khodadhor Panjrapol Sanstha has built a shelter for 600 feral animals in a 1200 acre area of Panjrapol, built with the donation of Rs.1 crore received with the cooperation of donors. The organization owns 1200 acres of land. In which all the work to make the organization self-reliant is done. The ponds in this land have been deepened and a system has been created for the systematic storage of rainwater. So that there is no shortage of drinking and using water for feral animals throughout the year. The organization is doing the work of growing natural grass in the institution’s premises and providing shelter to 2300 feral animals. Apart from this, a natural environment has been created for feral animals by growing more than 5000 indigenous trees. Samastha Mahajan, an organization working in the service of water, people, land, forests, and animals on a global scale, has always been constantly striving to improve and increase as many facilities as possible for the living beings.
He further said that today, with the inspiration of Pujya Gachchadhipati Acharya Bhagwant Rajyashsuri Maharaj Saheb and on the occasion of the auspicious entry of the 76th Saiyam year of Pujya Sadhviji Vachanyama Maharaj Saheb,Dinesh Modi Charitable Trust and L.J. Samast Mahajan, in collaboration with Arogya Kendra, have launched the first ambulance service in Ahmedabad and the 15th in the entire country that will be useful for animals and birds. This ambulance service is equipped with all the facilities that can be provided by a doctor immediately on the spot. Such as operation theater, anesthesia, oxygen cylinder, oxygen concentrator, freezer for storing injections and medicines, geyser and fire safety equipment are available.
